The labels on the food in the super market say exactly what is contained in the food. The ingredients are mentioned and the one which is present to a maximum extent is named first. The list goes down with the one present in the least amount at the bottom. Read this list very carefully.
If you are buying bread which is brown read carefully whether it is wheat or not. Whole grain wheat products are very essential if you are on a diet which is for weight reduction.
Buy plenty of fruits. Fruit salad in any amounts would be healthy. Buy plenty of vegetables from the frozen section and also from the fresh food section. Boil these vegetables to make a soup or a stew and eat the vegetables. The nutrients would be transferred to the water and so also drink the water.
Super markets normally sell plenty of healthy food. Skimmed milk, lean meat, beans, and legumes all are recommended. Buy food rich in fibre as this will be heavy for the stomach and you can feel full for a longer time.
A can of food will say the calorie value. Now you go home and open the can and eat it completely. But the label on the can is saying 2.5 servings. That means you should have taken only one serving but you have eaten in excess. All extra calories of food eaten will be converted to fat and stored in the body. Read the labels on foodstuff carefully and then do your shopping for a healthier you.
